An active performer and teacher in Upstate South Carolina, JONATHAN SIMMONS, holds the Bachelor of Music in Cello Performance from Bob Jones University and was recently accepted in the Cleveland Institute of Music and the Cincinnati College-Conservatory of Music for further study. He has performed as soloist with multiple orchestras in South Carolina and Tennessee, and was the winner of the 2016 Tennessee Cello Workshop Concerto Competition. As orchestral cellist, Jonathan has served as principal cellist of the Greenville County Youth Orchestras, the Bob Jones University Symphony Orchestra, and the Fountain Inn Symphony Orchestra. He has a broad range of teaching experience, including having served instructor in the A. R. M. E. S. chamber music program for talented string players at The Fine Arts Center, private teaching, and in the Bob Jones Academy Junior High orchestra.
